Luis Suarez and Liverpool Admit Misconduct Charges, Suarez Banned One Game, Both FinedLuis Suarez and Liverpool FC have admitted to misconduct charges stemming from the Dec. 5 meeting between LFC and Fulham. Suarez will miss Friday’s game against Newcastle, and both the player and the club were fined £20,000 ($31,000).

As Suarez was walking off the field at Craven Cottage following LFC’s 1-0 defeat, home fans were taunting him. He responded by sticking up his middle finger as he approached the tunnel.

The Liverpool star will miss Friday’s game and the FA has officially warned him about his future conduct.

The club has also been fined on a separate misconduct charge. It admitted to the charge of failing to control its players. Several of them surrounded referee Keith Friend after he sent off Jay Spearing for a tough tackle on Fulham’s Moussa Dembele in the second half.

Neither Suarez nor Liverpool fought the charges. LFC contested its fine, but an independent regulatory commission upheld the penalty.
