Salomon Kalou will likely leave Chelsea FC before the end of the season, and Liverpool has emerged as a possible destination for the Ivorian international. TalkSPORT reports the Reds are looking to beat Arsenal and PSG to his signature.

“[Arsenal manager] Arsene Wenger was confident of landing the Ivory Coast star,” the report reads. “But talkSPORT has been told Liverpool have now made an enquiry for the 26-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season.”

Kalou is in his sixth season at Chelsea, but new head coach Andre Villas-Boas has limited his minutes.

On Monday, Kalou flew back to London from Dubai, where he was preparing for the African Cup of Nations with his national team. It was reported that he was set to begin negotiations with Arsenal, but he might consider Liverpool’s interest as well.
