Report: Peyton Manning Could Decide Fate Tuesday or Wednesday After Visits With Broncos, CardinalsThe courtship of quarterback Peyton Manning unfolded in a number of ways this weekend, but the chase for one of the most prized free agents in history could come to a close early this week.

Manning visited the Broncos on Friday before meeting with the Cardinals on Saturday and Sunday, but those were hardly the only developments. The quarterback could decide on his future by Tuesday or Wednesday, according to a comprehensive report from The Denver Post.

Manning has only met with the Broncos and Cardinals, but the Dolphins have tried to get him to visit their facility, according to the Post. It could potentially happen Monday, as Manning was flying home to Miami on Sunday night.

The Chiefs and Seahawks invited Manning for a visit, but he reportedly declined each offer. They joined the Redskins on the list of teams that Manning has ruled out. The Jets are also out of the running after giving quarterback Mark Sanchez a contract extension, though NESN.com reported Wednesday the Jets weren't going to make a serious effort to land Manning anyway.

Titans owner Bud Adams is also interested in bringing Manning to Tennessee, where he played in college. Adams told The Tennessean he'd be "disappointed" if the Titans didn't land Manning.

The Denver Post also reports there could be a mystery team involved, and it speculated it could be the 49ers, who have hit a snag in their contract negotiations with quarterback Alex Smith.

Finally, Manning reportedly hasn't talked money with the Broncos or Cardinals. He wanted to visit each facility to get a better feel for the organization before getting into contract negotiations later. For that, the Post said any reports of a team emerging as a front-runner would be false.

There's a lot in play as Manning returns to Miami, but his life as a free agent could be short-lived.
