Zombie Joe Thornton Looks to ‘Destroy the Human Race Once and for All’ in ‘RISK: Factions’ Video

March 23, 2012

Joe Thornton, by almost every account, is one happy dude. But what about Zombie Joe Thornton?

Well, more of the same really.

The Sharks center appears in cartoon form — as a zombie — in a clever little promotional video for RISK:Factions, a video game made by EA Sports.

According to the game's Facebook page, RISK:Factions is "a game of world conquest! Take over the world, one territory at a time. Show your friends you are force to be reckoned with!"

Thornton wasn't exactly a force to be reckoned with on Thursday night against the Bruins, but he did take an errant Milan Lucic pass and turn it into an assist on the Sharks' first goal of the night in a 2-1 win over Boston.

Coincidentally, it's Bruins fans on the East Coast who are walking around like zombies after staying up late to see Thornton and his army of Shark zombies turn back the B's.
