It's understandable if Red Sox Nation is getting a bit antsy.

With the Sox sitting at 4-9 and showing little fight early on this season, one has to wonder if they have what it takes to contend in the American League East.

Boston's pitching has been brutal to begin the year, featuring the worst team ERA and batting average against in the majors. Red Sox hurlers have consistently shown an inability to keep opponents off the scoreboard, and Bobby Valentine is still trying to figure things out after a rough start to his first year in Beantown.
