Delmon Young Suspended Seven Games for Assault, Anti-Semitic RantDelmon Young didn't see much of the field after getting into trouble just hours into the Tigers' trip to New York last weekend.

Major League Baseball made the Detroit outfielder's absence official on Monday, suspending Young for seven games, according to the Daily News.

The Tigers put Young on the restricted list Friday after he screamed at a man wearing a yarmulke early Friday morning then assaulted a tourist giving money to the man. The team had recently arrived in New York for a weekend series against the Yankees.

Young has since had anger management and alcohol treatment.

Young was arrested on an aggravated harassment charge that was classified as a hate crime. He was freed on $5,000 bail.
