Vote: What Is the Best Feature of Fenway Park?Fenway Park is officially 100 years old this season, and the Red Sox are putting on a fairly elaborate celebration to commemorate the anniversary.

On Friday, the Red Sox kicked off their 100th season with an extended Opening Day ceremony that saw Jason Varitek and Tim Wakefield return to throw out the first pitch, the Boston Pops perform the national anthem and much more in terms of festivities.

The classic day of family fun at Fenway brought to mind many of the treasured memories and amenities that Fenway Park has bestowed on fans over the years.

The Green Monster comes quickly to mind, as the oversized green wall is a trademark for Boston sports fans and baseball fans everywhere, actually. The Monster itself is special enough, but some of the best seating in Fenway has to be on top of the Green Monster. The Monster seats, established in 2003, give any Red Sox fan a unique view of the game from the highest fence in the MLB.

Inside the monster is another attraction in and of itself. Fenway Park boasts one of the final few hand-operated scoreboards in all of baseball. A treat for any sentimentalist and/or lover of the game.

The Lone Red Seat (Section 42, Row 37, Seat 21), made famous by the towering 502-foot home run hit by Hall of Famer Ted Williams in a game on June 9, 1946, is a glorified spot inside Fenway with fans flocking to park their butts in the chair at any open opportunity.

Then of course there's Pesky's Pole, named famously for former Red Sox infielder Johnny Pesky. The right-field foul pole is a staple inside Fenway, as it sits barely 300 feet from home plate, if that, and home runs have a great tendancy to bend around it on occasion.

Lastly, Yawkey Way is a fantastic addition to the lure of Fenway Park. The famous street boasts some great bars, restaurants and all the sights, sounds and attractions any baseball fan could ask for on gameday.
