Brazilian Soccer Coach Walter Knario Begs Police to Handcuff Him After Red Card (Video)The wacky world of Brazilian soccer served up another gem last week.

Walter Knario, head coach of third division club Cambe, begged police officers to handcuff him after he was sent off by the referee.

The scene took place during the first half of Cambe’s scoreless draw with PSTC.

Knario reacted angrily to a call the referee made, and the official dismissed the protesting head coach from the field.

Knario approached two police officers who were standing near the bench, dropped to his knees and asked to be taken away — presumably to jail. When the officers obliged, Knario quickly changed his mind and pushed them away.

The incident wasn’t the first meeting between Brazilian soccer and the military police. In March, a police dog bit a player on the leg during a fracas between two teams.

Knario had better be careful what he wishes for, as he might just get what he wants.
