Shawn Thornton Among 18 Players Representing NHLPA at Meeting With NHL in TorontoIf things get really ugly in the latest negotiations between the NHL and the NHLPA on Thursday in Toronto, the players will have one of the game's best enforcers to knock some heads.

Hopefully negotiations don't go that poorly, but Bruins forward Shawn Thornton is among one of the 18 players representing the NHLPA, the union announced on Thursday. 

The two sides are scheduled to meet at the league offices in order to discuss the latest offer made by the league, which came down Tuesday. The NHLPA is expected to make a counter-offer at some point in the negotiation process as well.

Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs is reportedly in attendance to represent the league's owners.
