Andy ReidThe 2013 draft will be unusually suspenseful for all involved parties.

Typically by this point it’s known or widely assumed what a team will do with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. But this year the Chiefs will be keeping everyone on their toes.

Kansas City will likely wait until Thursday, the first day of the draft, to announce who they will take No. 1, according to Adam Schefter of Depending on which source you trust, the Chiefs are down to three or four players they’re deciding between. Those names are probably offensive tackles Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher, outside linebacker Dion Jordan and quarterback Geno Smith — though that would be a surprise selection.

Talks are starting to pick up between the Chiefs and Dolphins for a possible Branden Albert trade, according to multiple reports. If Albert is moved, Kansas City would be left without either of their starting tackles from last year, and either Joeckel or Fisher would be the likely selection.
