Wes Welker Passes Concussion Tests, Listed as ‘Probable’ for Broncos-Patriots on Sunday Night

Wes Welker, Jimmy SmithGet ready to see Wes Welker back on the field at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night.

There was some doubt whether Welker would play after he suffered a concussion against the Chiefs. But the Broncos announced Welker passed his concussion tests. He’s officially listed as “probable” for the Broncos-Patriots game, but interim head coach Jack Del Rio is making it sound like a sure-thing that Welker plays.

“If you had the ‘definitely will go’ category, he?d probably be on there,” Del Rio said.

Well, such a category exists. It’s called removing him from the injury report.

Welker’s buddy Tom Brady was right when he said on Wednesday that his former slot receiver would “definitely” play.
