Mats Zuccarello injured his left hand before the qualifying game, and the forward’s NHL team — the New York Rangers — announced Wednesday that Zuccarello has a non-displaced fracture and will return to New York on Thursday to be evaluated. Zuccarello leads the Rangers with a career-high 43 points this season. The Rangers’ first game after the Olympic break is Feb. 27 at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
