Brandon LaFell Offends Panthers Fans, Retires From Twitter For A Month

Brandon LaFellNew England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell has temporarily retired from Twitter after offending Carolina Panthers fans with his comments about ex-teammate Cam Newton.

LaFell, who signed a three-year contract with the Patriots, said Wednesday that he signed with New England to play with “Hall of Fame quarterback” Tom Brady. LaFell then implied that Panthers quarterback Cam Newton’s skill level isn’t quite up to par.

“When you have a guy who can pinpoint the ball the way (Brady) does, it’s great,” LaFell said, via “One day Cam will be there probably, but he’s not there now.”
