US-GhanaAfter a long four year wait, the United States finally got revenge at the 2014 FIFA World Cup against Ghana, the team that ended their World Cup run in 2010 back in South Africa.

Estadio Das Dunas in Natal was packed with American supporters. Even Vice President Joe Biden made the trip.

The USMNT did not disappoint their passionate fans as they struck early on a Clint Dempsey goal. However, the Americans lost striker Jozy Altidore due to a hamstring injury later in the half.

Team USA received another blow in the 82nd minute when Ghana evened up the score, but immediately bounced back on a John Brooks header off a corner which secured the win for the United States in the 86th minute.
