The Boston College men’s hockey team will be trotting out some new threads this season.

The Eagles unveiled Tuesday their new home uniforms, modeled here by junior captain Michael Matheson.

It’s not a complete departure from BC’s previous look, but there are a few notable changes.

The striping pattern has been tweaked, with the sleeve striped changing from vertical to horizontal and the waist stripes now extending all the way around the jersey, and the school’s “stained glass” design has been added to both. The new jerseys also feature the team logo on each shoulder and an old-school, lace-up collar.

Here is sophomore forward — and Boston Bruins draftee — Ryan Fitzgerald showing off the comparison between the old and new sets:

BC will begin its season Oct. 4, when it hosts New Brunswick at Conte Forum.
