FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots have been able to swat away the injury bug early this season.
The Patriots had perfect attendance at practice Friday for the second straight day. Wide receiver Julian Edelman (back), running back Shane Vereen (shoulder), offensive linemen Ryan Wendell (knee) and Dan Connolly (knee), defensive end Michael Buchanan (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee), safety Don Jones (hamstring) and defensive tackle Sealver Siliga (hand) have been nursing injuries, but all 53 players on the active roster and 10 practice squad members were present and accounted for.
The Patriots were in sweats and shells for practice in crisp 54-degree temperatures. Media was only allowed to watch the players stretch for the first 10 minutes of practice.
