USATSI_8087861_168381014_lowresSeattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman still isn’t taking comments made by the San Diego Chargers’ receivers lightly.

Following Seattle’s 30-21 loss to San Diego last Sunday, multiple Chargers wideouts told the media they “exposed” the 2013 All-Pro and Super Bowl champion.

When the Green Bay Packers visited Seattle in Week 1, they avoided Sherman at all costs by not throwing a single pass in his direction. That was not the case last Sunday, however, as quarterback Philip Rivers and the Chargers completed four passes for 56 yards when throwing against the renowned cornerback. This led to Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, who had five receptions and 55 yards on the day, calling last season’s interception leader a “normal guy and not a shutdown corner.”

Sherman did not speak to reporters after the loss, but he had plenty to say Wednesday.

“You know, when a guy wants his name in the paper, he’s gotta say something crazy,” Sherman said of Allen, via ESPN.com. “It’s humorous. I guess he wants something to tell his grandkids: ‘Remember the day I caught a couple of balls on Richard Sherman? No touchdowns, but I caught a few.'”

In regard to his personal thoughts on his performance last Sunday, Sherman seemed content.

“I played pretty well,” he said. “But it’s really funny that two little Chargers say I was exposed. One had 50 yards, and one [Eddie Royal] had 60. It makes you laugh.”

As the NFL season enters just its third week, it is unlikely the trash talk will end any time soon. Sherman and the defending champion Seahawks will take on the Denver Broncos at home in a Super Bowl rematch this Sunday.
