An on-ice star and an on-screen star converged on the red carpet Wednesday night.
Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin joined actor Brad Pitt at the movie premiere for Pitt’s latest film, “Fury.” The two snapped photos together, and Pitt even was given a Capitals jersey with his name on the back.

Ovechkin’s Russian teammates, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dmitry Orlov, also attended the event, which was held at the Newseum in Washington D.C.
“Fury” apparently is an American war film set in Europe during World War II. Shia LaBeouf , Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood also star in the film.
