deangelo hallAnother year, another pizza-related injury in the NFL.

DeAngelo Hall got hungry and intended to grab a late-night slice of pizza. Instead, he slipped in his kitchen and re-tore the Achilles tendon that has kept him sidelined since Week 3, according to CSN Washington’s Tarik El-Bashir.

This injury comes a year after then-Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson broke his arm in a car accident that resulted from trying to save pizza boxes from falling.

Hall, who tore his Achilles on Sept. 21 against the Philadelphia Eagles, had hoped to return before the end of the season. Now the pizza-related injury will sideline the Washington Redskins cornerback for the rest of the season and force the team to rely on Bashaud Breeland and David Amerson.

Conclusion: NFL players not endorsing Papa John’s, as Peyton Manning is, should just stay away from pizza.
