Jay Cutler Calls Microsoft Surface Tablets ‘Knockoff iPads’ On Radio Show

Jay Cutler could be receiving a call from Microsoft very soon.

The company reportedly pays $400 million to be the NFL’s official technology sponsor, per CBS Sports, and players and coaches use Surface Pro 2 tablets on the sidelines every week. But the Chicago Bears quarterback apparently didn’t pay too much attention to those details, as he had no idea what to call the tablets on his weekly ESPN radio show Tuesday.

While Microsoft likely isn’t thrilled that Cutler referred to its tablets using the name of its No. 1 rival Apple’s product, the Chicago signal-caller didn’t mean any harm by it, according to ESPN’s Jon Greenberg.

So much for all of that branding on the sidelines.
