Peyton Manning wouldn’t discuss a potential playoff meeting with the Patriots, but Broncos teammate Chris Harris Jr. already had a hypothetical rematch circled on his calendar, just hours after New England blew Denver’s doors off Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
?When they come to Denver, it?s going to be a different game,? the cornerback said, via WEEI.com. ?Plain and simple.?
That’s assuming a lot. The Patriots’ blowout win put them in the driver’s seat for home-field advantage in the AFC, which means Denver might have to return to Gillette if the teams meet in the playoffs. However, a lot can change between now and then. New England won the regular-season matchup last season before Denver regained home-field advantage and eventually won the AFC Championship Game at Mile High.
“Look at the playoffs last year. It was different last year,” Harris said, via WEEI.com. “We?ll see them again. We have to try and get the home-field advantage. This game always comes down to it, but they got the lead on us, so we have to win out.”
