George Mason Beats Manhattan On Amazing 75-Foot Buzzer-Beater (Video)

There are improbable endings to a game, and then there’s what George Mason did Saturday night.

GMU gave us a play-of-the-year candidate as Jalen Jenkins launched a shot from the opposite free-throw line at the buzzer to defeat Manhattan 64-63 at home. But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Down by eight points with a 1:20 remaining, George Mason rallied to cut the deficit to one with just seconds to play. With Manhattan holding a 62-61 lead, GMU fouled Shane Richards, sending him to the charity stripe for two shots. Richards swooshed the first, but missed the second.

Jenkins came down with the rebound with two seconds left, took a dribble and shot the ball roughly 75 feet for the craziest win yet in this young college basketball season.
