This Sunday?s NFL games had featured just two double-digit favorites, but that has increased with the Seattle Seahawks’ line against the New York Giants climbing.
The Seahawks opened as 7.5-point home favorites, but they now are as high as -10.5 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Seahawks have been double-digit favorites in nine games under Pete Carroll, and they are 4-5 against the spread and 9-0 straight up in those games. The OddsShark.com Computer predicts a 30-22 victory for the Giants cover.
Denver is an 11.5-point favorite on the road over Oakland, although that line had previously climbed as high as 12 points. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Raiders, and 5-1 ATS in their last six at Oakland. The OddsShark Computer predicts a 27-12 victory.
Baltimore is a 10-point home favorite over Tennessee, and the computer predicts a 27-16 victory. However, the Ravens will be without their best cornerback, Jimmy Smith, who underwent season-ending foot surgery Thursday.
The Atlanta-Tampa Bay matchup was looking like the closest line, at even Tuesday, but that line has changed with the Buccaneers’ quarterback change. The Bucs benched Mike Glennon in place of Josh McCown, and now the Falcons are as much as field goal favorites. This is an ugly matchup, with Atlanta 1-4 ATS in its last five road games, while Tampa Bay is 0-5 ATS in its last five home games. The computer predicts a 21-12 Falcons victory.
Kansas City is a two-point favorite over Buffalo, with the computer predicting a 28-24 Chiefs victory. This marks the seventh game Kansas City has been a road favorite under Andy Reid, and it is 5-1 ATS and SU in those games.
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have the highest point total on the day at 53. Eleven of the last 14 games between these teams have gone OVER. The computer predicts a 29-17 Packers win, which would hit the UNDER.
Dallas-Jacksonville is off the board at most sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. You can get the Cowboys as 7.5-point favorites in some places, but with Tony Romo a game-time decision, nobody knows what to expect.
Looking ahead to Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles are touchdown favorites over the Carolina Panthers and come in playing well. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last five games, and 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games. The Panthers are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games, and 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. The OddsShark Computer predicts an Eagles cover with a 30-17 win.
