Ohio StadiumA senior on the Ohio State football team was reported missing just days before his final game at Ohio Stadium.

Police in Columbus, Ohio, and the family of Kosta Karageorge say the linemen went missing and hasn’t been seen since the early morning hours on Wednesday, according to The Columbus Dispatch. Karageorge reportedly went for a walk around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, and that was the last time his roommates saw him.

“He had some extenuating circumstances that night that lead us to believe he was upset,” his sister Sophia said.

Police traced Karageorge’s phone through GPS, but were unable to recover it. Karageorge also left other important items behind.

“He did not take his motorcycle, and he does not have his car on campus,” his sister said. “… He does not have his wallet or any identification on him that we know of because his girlfriend has his wallet.”

Karageorge’s sister said he has a history of sports-related concussions, and the family is worried that he may be disoriented after suffering a concussion a month ago.

“We’re very concerned that he’s not himself and that he maybe doesn’t know what’s going on,” she said. “Every time he’s had a concussion, he’s been evaluated and listened to his trainers. He’s been properly taken care of by OSU the entire time he’s been an athlete for them. But … his repercussions from them have been long-term or delayed later after the fact.”

Karageorge, who is also a member of the school’s wrestling team, did not report for football practice early Wednesday, and was not at practice on Thursday. He is listed as one of 24 seniors who will be honored at The Shoe on Saturday ahead of OSU’s rivalry game against Michigan.
