In one play, Central Florida earned two key wins.

The Knights cashed in on one of the most exciting plays of the college football season when they used a last-second Hail Mary to beat East Carolina on Thursday night. The gave UCF not only a 32-30 win, but it also earned the club a share of the American Athletic Conference season title.

The miracle play also saved a potentially embarrassing loss for UCF. The Knights carried a 26-9 lead into the fourth quarter before East Carolina stormed back.

The Pirates went ahead 30-26 with 2:17 left in the game, and things looked even more bleak when UCF’s ensuing drive was unsuccessful. However, UCF was lucky enough to get the ball back with 10 seconds left and apparently that’s all they needed as quarterback Justin Holman found Breshad Perriman for the 51-yard score.

That defense from ECU? Yeah, that’s less than ideal.
