It’s New England against the world.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick delivered a lengthy opening statement on DeflateGate on Thursday, but didn’t explain why the NFL found 11 of the team’s 12 AFC Championship Game game balls to be under-inflated. Quarterback Tom Brady took the podium later in the day, denying that he altered any of the footballs and adding he had no knowledge they were deflated in the first half against the Indianapolis Colts.

The world might not have any answers about this scandal, but they certainly have strong opinions regarding the Patriots’ credibility.

According to an ESPN Sports Nation poll, all of the New England states (with the exception of Connecticut) believe the Patriots are innocent of any wrongdoing, while the rest of the country says they’re cheaters.

Brady and Belichick also are big, fat liars, according to the majority of the country.

Despite all of that, most people still believe the Patriots are the better team and will beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.pats win
