The demolition of Candlestick Park began this month, and perhaps no one is sadder about it than Tom Brady.

The New England Patriots quarterback grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area as a 49ers fan, so there’s no doubt he has some fond memories of the iconic stadium. He shared one of them Thursday in an adorable Facebook post.

If that’s not a look of pure sadness, we don’t know what is.

Given the likely circumstances, though, Brady’s reaction is a bit odd. After all, this appears to be the 1981 NFC Championship Game against the Dallas Cowboys, which the Niners famously won 28-27 after Dwight Clark made “The Catch” with 51 seconds remaining.

Then again, the future Super Bowl winner would have been 4 years old at the time, so chances are he just wanted to go to bed.
