Every night should be 2 Chainz Night at Philips Arena.
After the Atlanta Hawks hosted a Tinder night back in January, the team continued its run of fantastic theme nights Friday with one dedicated to the Atlanta-based rapper. While 2 Chainz performed before the game, at halftime and once more after the game, he also took some time to show off his basketball skills.
It’s truuuuuu.
The rapper not only took on Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins in a game of “HORSE” before the Hawks’ matchup against the Miami Heat, but he defeated the Hall of Famer.

The win didn’t exactly come out of nowhere, though, as 2 Chainz did play college basketball at Alabama State. That little fact didn’t stop him from gloating after the victory, taking to Instagram to say he “served” Wilkins.

The win also inspired the Hawks to create a new nickname for the rapper. We like it.
Atlanta followed up 2 Chainz’s win with one of its own, downing the Heat 99-86 to clinch the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed.
