2015 NCAA Hockey Bracket: Boston University Earns No. 1 Seed In Northeast Regional

March Madness is in full swing on the hardwood, but it’s almost time for college hockey fans to turn their attention to the ice.

The field has been set for the 2015 NCAA men’s ice hockey tournament with three Hockey East teams earning a selection. Boston University, which won both the Hockey East regular-season and tournament titles and is led by freshman phenom Jack Eichel, snagged the No. 1 seed in the Northeast Regional and will face off against Yale on Friday.

Minnesota State is the No. 1 overall seed. The other top seeds include North Dakota and Miami (Ohio).

Boston College and Providence, meanwhile, both earned at-large bids. The Eagles will square off against Denver in the East Regional while the Friars will take on Miami in the same regional.

The winners of the Midwest and East Regionals will meet in the Frozen Four at TD Garden, and the winner of the West Regional will meet the winner of the Northeast Regional in the other national semifinal.

Midwest Regional — South Bend, Ind.

No. 1 Minnesota State vs. No. 4 RIT, March 28, 4 p.m.

No. 2 Nebraska-Omaha vs. No. 3 Harvard, March 28, 7:30 p.m.

East Regional — Providence, R.I.

No. 1 Miami (Ohio) vs. No. 4 Providence, March 28, 6:30 p.m.

No. 2 Denver vs. No. 3 Boston College, March 28, 3 p.m.
