Vince Wilfork could make a triumphant return to the New England Patriots.

Despite tweeting out what appeared to be a farewell letter to the Patriots, Wilfork is considering re-signing with the team that turned down his 2015 option, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday. The Houston Texans, who reportedly have shown interest in Wilfork, also are on the big nose tackle’s list of four teams, according to Rapoport.

Rapoport and Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson both note that Wilfork will take his time in the free-agency process. Wilfork played over 70 percent of the Patriots’ defensive snaps in 2014 despite coming off a torn Achilles tendon suffered early in the 2013 season.
