Sorry, NBA fans. In America, football always will be king.

Want proof? Look no further than Tuesday night’s NBA Finals Game 3 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors at Quicken Loans Arena.

It’s common practice for fans to boo and jeer when an opposing player is shooting free throws, but The Q wanted to get a little extra out of the home crowd. So it used the Jumbotron to display images that everyone in Cleveland despises.

Those images have nothing to do with basketball, but who in Cleveland doesn’t hate the Browns’ bitter AFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Apparently the power of NFL rivalries proved effective, as the Warriors — who hit 76.8 percent of their free throws in the regular season — went just 7-for-12 (58.3 percent) from the line in a 96-91 loss.
