John Oliver is about to do something few in the world have ever done: enjoy a Bud Light Lime.

Oliver has been one of those leading the charge against FIFA and all of its corruption, exposing the world’s largest soccer organization for its shady business in recent years. On his show, “Last Week Tonight,” Oliver has launched a pair of scathing takedowns.

In his most recent rant against FIFA and its president, Sepp Blatter, Oliver reasoned that the only way Blatter and his cronies would feel any sort of pressure would be if FIFA’s corporate sponsors pulled their money. In fact, Oliver pledged to use those companies’ products — even including drinking a Bud Light Lime — should they put pressure on FIFA.

“I will even drink a Bud Light Lime despite the fact all the lime in the world can’t disguise the fact that this tastes like a puddle beneath a Long John Silver’s dumpster,” Oliver said Sunday night.

“But I will do it. I will drink one, maintaining eye contact with the camera, and I will say it was delicious. Because if you get rid of the Swiss demon who has ruined the sport I love, this stuff will taste like f—ing champagne!”

Well, on Tuesday, Blatter shocked the world when he resigned as president, leading to this tweet from Oliver.

This Sunday’s show should be fun.
