ESPN announced its 2015 ESPY Award nominees Wednesday and, to no one’s surprise, the list was chalk full of Boston and New England-based athletes.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski — nominated for best comeback athlete after tearing his ACL late in the 2014 season — was just one of a bevy of Pats nominated for awards.

Gronk’s teammate, Tom Brady, was nominated for the best NFL player award alongside Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt and Green Bay Packers quarterback (and 2015 MVP) Aaron Rodgers.

Malcolm Butler’s game-winning Super Bowl interception is up for best play and the coach that subbed him in, Bill Belichick, is up for best coach. The Super Bowl itself also is up for best game.

UConn women’s basketball also received a few nods after its 38-1 season and third consecutive national championship, with coach Geno Auriemma joining Belichick as a nominee for best coach. Senior star Breanna Stewart is up for both best female athlete and best female college athlete.

Boston University star forward Jack Eichel, who is expected to be a top-three pick in Friday’s NHL Draft, was nominated for best male collegiate athlete. after taking home the Hobey Baker award as the nation’s top collegiate hockey player and carrying BU to the national championship game. New England Revolution forward Lee Nguyen is up for best MLS player after leading the Revs to the MLS Cup.

The Most Outstanding Team nominees were not revealed, but the Patriots almost certainly will make that list.

One award has already been announced, as ESPN revealed earlier this month that Caitlyn Jenner will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
