Doc Rivers Could Barely Watch Paul Pierce’s ‘Awful’ First Pitch (Video)

Doc Rivers feelsĀ for Paul Pierce, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make fun of him.

It has nothing to do with basketball, of course. Rivers’ sympathy for one of his newest players centers around a ceremonial first pitch, of all things.

Pierce showed he lacks much baseball skill earlier this week when the new Los Angeles Clippers swingman threw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. The pitch was pretty miserable, bouncing before even getting to home plate.

TMZ Sports caught up with Rivers at the Special Olympics in L.A. to ask the Clippers coach about Pierce’s pitch. Rivers’ reaction was pretty much what you’d expect.
