Jason Pierre-Paul is determined to get back on the field.

The New York Giants defensive end began practicing again last week after missing time from a July 4 fireworks accident that left him with four fingers on his right hand. And on Thursday, Pierre-Paul tried out a custom glove on his injured hand, which ESPN’s Dan Graziano shred a photo of.

Graziano said JPP didn’t just use the glove, though, and is trying to find the best option. He also wore a heavy wrap to use his hand as a club, and Graziano said there’s no guarantee what he’ll use once he actually hits the playing field.

As for when that will happen, Graziano said he’s “79 percent sure” Pierre-Paul will be on the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. All accounts say Pierre-Paul has been doing well in practice, so it seems as though he’s almost a lock to be on the field by Week 10 against the New England Patriots.
