Billy Joel is headed back to America’s Most Beloved Ballpark for the third time in as many summers.

The six-time Grammy Award-winning musician will perform at Fenway Park on Thursday, Aug. 18, making him the first artist to play three consecutive years at the home of the Boston Red Sox.

Live Nation Entertainment, which announced the concert Thursday, cited “overwhelming demand” as the driving force for bringing Joel back to Fenway.

“A triple play during a Red Sox game is a rare occurrence,” Live Nation Boston promoter Dave Marsden said in a statement. “Billy Joel will perform the first concert triple play at Fenway Park on August 18 when he plays the center field stage for the third consecutive summer.”

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 22.
