Brock Lesnar will compete in the 2016 Royal Rumble match.
Lesnar returned to WWE “RAW” on Monday night, at which point it was revealed The Beast Incarnate will join 29 other superstars in this year’s over-the-top-rope brawl Jan. 24.
Everyone will be gunning for WWE champion Roman Reigns, whose title will be on the line in the Rumble match, but Lesnar looks like the clear-cut favorite, especially after destroying everybody in his path during the closing moments of “RAW.”
The winner of the annual Royal Rumble match typically is awarded an opportunity to face the WWE champion at WrestleMania. Reigns isn’t on good terms with Vince McMahon and The Authority, though. So, for the first time in WWE history, the reigning WWE world heavyweight champion must defend his title in the 30-superstar Royal Rumble match.
And unfortunately for Reigns, his chances of retaining the title took a hit once Lesnar entered the equation and let everyone know he won’t be messing around at WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view.
