Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Ryan Spooner Out With Illness For Bruins Vs. Stars

The Boston Bruins could be without center Ryan Spooner as they wrap up their six-game road trip Saturday night in Dallas.

Spooner did not participate in the Bruins’ morning skate Saturday, and head coach Claude Julien announced afterward that the 24-year-old was “not feeling well.”

“We’ll wait and see how he feels,” Julien told reporters, via BostonBruins.com. “I’d put him as questionable right now.”

Only two players have appeared in all 58 of Boston’s games this season: Spooner and winger Loui Eriksson.

The Bruins’ opponent for the finale of their season-long trip will be the high-flying Stars, who enter with the second-best record in the Western Conference and the third-best mark in the NHL. Dallas won the teams’ first meeting of the season, riding a hat trick from former Bruins forward Tyler Seguin to a 5-3 victory Nov. 3 at TD Garden.

UPDATE (7:42 p.m. ET): Spooner was not on the ice for warmups, meaning he’ll sit this game out. Defenseman Zach Trotman also will sit as a healthy scratch as Joe Morrow makes his return to the lineup.

Here are Saturday’s projected lines and pairings, as reported by the teams:
