Cristiano Ronaldo either ruined or made one fan’s shot of a lifetime. We can’t really tell which it is.
What’s clear, however, is YouTube user Sarah Arcand has felt the full force of a Ronaldo shot in a way few others can claim.
Ronaldo recently missed a penalty kick in Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Sevilla in La Liga (Spain’s first division). Arcand, who stood behind Sevilla’s goal at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, was looking to capture a goal live on video but instead found herself in the middle of the action.
Arcand claims she suffered a black eye as a result of Ronaldo’s missed shot. She can consider herself lucky that Lionel Messi didn’t hit her with an errant shot, though. The Barcelona superstar struck a fan with a wayward blast one day after Ronald’s missed kick, and that fan required medical attention.
In other words, Ronaldo’s eternal duel with Messi continues — both on the field and in the stands.
