DeMarco Murray Will Be Traded From Eagles To Titans, Agent Says

DeMarco Murray will have a new home when the NFL league year begins Wednesday.

A trade has been agreed upon that will send Murray to the Tennessee Titans, the running back’s representation confirmed Monday night.

Murray’s current team, the Philadelphia Eagles, is expected to receive draft-pick compensation in return, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Murray, who began his career with the Dallas Cowboys, spent just one season in Philadelphia, averaging a career-low 3.6 rushing yards on 193 carries. He’s the third high-profile Chip Kelly acquisition set to be traded this week, joining linebacker Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell, who reportedly will be dealt to the Miami Dolphins.

Murray reportedly had a strained relationship with both Kelly, the former Philly head coach who since has moved on to the San Francisco 49ers, and the Eagles organization as a whole.

The Eagles finished 7-9 in 2015 and missed the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.
