Barack Obama is sticking to his guns in his eighth and final presidential NCAA Tournament bracket picks.

President Obama’s March Madness selections, playfully dubbed “Baracketology,” have been the unofficial kickoff to the NCAA Tournament for the past seven seasons. And if there’s one thing we’ve learned during that time, it’s that even the most powerful man in the world can’t predict what magic might happen when the Big Dance rolls around.

In his previous seven brackets, Obama has correctly picked only one winner (North Carolina, 2009). The most important tidbit for anyone looking for bracket secrets and advantages, though, is that only two of the president’s seven picks have even reached the Final Four (North Carolina, 2009, and Kentucky, 2015).

Obama admitted he just doesn’t have the time to keep up with all the mid-major or “Cinderella” programs in order to pick upsets late in his bracket, so he typically trusts coaches — like Kansas’ Bill Self or North Carolina’s Roy Williams — to get the most from his players and, subsequently, the job done for him.

The Jayhawks and Tar Heels have gone a combined 1-3 as Obama’s national champion picks, but did it deter him from choosing them in the latter stages of his bracket once again?

Not a chance.
