Mexico’s national soccer team resumes its march toward the 2018 FIFA World Cup with another game against Canada.
Mexico hosts Canada on Tuesday at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in a CONCACAF World Cup qualifying game. Mexico defeated Canada 3-0 on Friday in Vancouver, and another victory will clinch the top spot in Group A for El Tri.
Canada has never won at Estadio Azteca, and Mexico has lost just twice in 78 World Cup qualifiers. Mexico’s advantage appears to be insurmountable, but games are won, lost and drawn on the field — not on paper.
