Who saw that coming?

Ohio State suffered a shocking loss to unranked Penn State on Saturday, ending its quest for an undefeated season. That defeat obviously has major implications for the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, as the Buckeyes entered Week 8 as the No. 2 team in the country.

The ranking committee wasn’t too harsh on Ohio State, though, dropping the team down to No. 6 in its Week 9 poll. OSU’s loss was Michigan’s gain, though, as the 7-0 Wolverines are the country’s new No. 2 behind Alabama.

Penn State now is No. 24 after its big upset, marking its first appearance in the Top 25 since 2011.

Here’s the full AP Top 25 poll for Week 9. As always, we’ll post our weekly college football picks against the spread Thursday morning.
