The Boston Bruins on Sunday added a bit of reinforcement for their offensive woes, signing 19-year-old forward Jesse Gabriel to a contract just hours after falling to the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1.

Boston announced the three-year, entry-level contract Sunday morning in a team release.

Boston selected Gabriel in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Draft with the 105th overall pick. In 72 games for the Western Hockey League’s Prince George Cougars last season, the 6-foot, 205-pound forward scored 35 goals and 40 assists, registering 75 points on the season. He skated with the Providence Bruins for three games at the conclusion of his 2016 WHL season on a professional tryout.

This season, Gabriel had recorded 19 goals and 11 assists in 25 games.
