The South Region has come down to a pair of unlikely finalists, as No. 11 Loyola-Chicago will take on No. 9 Kansas State for the right to go to the Final Four.
The Ramblers have stunned opponents start to finish, with their buzzer-beater 64-62 win over No. 6 Miami in the first round being their largest margin of victory. They beat No. 3 Tennessee and No. 7 Nevada in their ensuing matchups by one point each.
The Wildcats, however, have beat their opponents a bit more thoroughly. They defeated No. 8 Creighton 69-59 in the first round, followed by 50-43 and 61-58 wins over No. 16 UMBC and No. 5 Kentucky, respectively.
