andrew luckThe Indianapolis Colts host the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football” to close out Week 2.

The Colts opened as 2.5-point favorites, and the line has seen little change over the course of the week. According to various sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, the Colts are currently -3 for the game.

The game features a pair of teams that have been playing fairly well for bettors. The Colts are 5-1 ATS in their last six games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. They covered on the road against the Denver Broncos in Week 1. The Eagles are 4-2 ATS in their last six games on the road and 8-2 straight up in their last ten games overall. They covered at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, reeling off 34 straight points to overcome a 17-0 deficit.

The most notable trend for the Colts, according to the OddsShark NFL Database, is that they have covered the spread 13 straight times following a loss. They are 13-2 ATS when a season-ending loss is factored into the data. However, the OddsShark computer prediction has the Eagles springing the upset, winning 26.4-25.

The over/under is ranging between 54 and 55, depending on which sportsbook you track. The over has gone 6-1 in the Eagles’ last seven games against teams from the AFC South. The total has gone over in nine of the Colts’ last 13 games.

The Colts have ruled out inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman; Josh McNary will replace him in the starting lineup. Nose tackle Josh Chapman, center Khaled Holmes and defensive tackle Arthur Jones all are listed as questionable. Chapman is the most likely of that group to play, while Holmes and Jones likely will be game-time decisions.

The Eagles will be replacing left guard Evan Mathis and right tackle Allen Barbre, both of whom suffered significant injuries in the Eagles’ Week 1 win. Dennis Kelly will start in place of Mathis, and Andrew Gardner will start in place of Barbre. Kelly and Gardner are swapping sides from their preseason work. Kelly primarily worked at right guard, while Gardner primarily worked at left tackle.
