File under David Beckham has nothing better to do these days.
While fellow England teammate Wayne Rooney left for a nice beach holiday (read: bolted out of England while things blow over) Becks decided to take in another tenant of English sporting events, Wimbledon.
Now in all fairness Mr. Beckham doesn’t exactly have to shoulder the great English 4-1 collapse against Germany because he had to sit out due to a torn Achilles tendon he suffered while playing with the L.A. Galaxy.
Still though, you have to wonder if he got more attention than the Queen (though he didn’t get Serena Williams kicked off center court) or marathon man John Isner though he’s probably still sleeping off the longest game in tennis history.
Either way, Beckham probably enjoys not having to hide his face all around England for fear of being chased into the Atlantic with pitchforks.
