Victor Martinez‘s days in Boston appear to be quickly fading, as several teams are beginning to show keen interest in the All-Star catcher.

The latest squad to covet V-Mart is the Tigers, as Detroit has reportedly decided to make him a priority this offseason, sources tell Fox Sports’ Jon Paul Morosi.

Martinez hit .302/.351/.493 with 20 homers last season and would be a huge upgrade at catcher for the Tigers, whose 2010 backstops — Gerald Laird, Alex Avila and Max St. Pierre — hit a combined .223/.294/.330 with 12 homers.
