Boston teeny boppers across two decades will unite as the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys have announced a very special stop on their upcoming tour across the United States.
Joining the ranks with musical acts such as Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Paul McCartney and Aerosmith, New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys have planned a performance at the legendary Fenway Park, NKOTBSB.com reports.
The tour date is scheduled for June 11, and is one of the first stops on the summer tour as it kicks off in Connecticut on June 2.
The members of New Kids are especially excited about performing under the Green Monster since they are all native to the Boston area.
"This is a tremendous honor for us. As a group of Boston kids we never thought we would get an opportunity like this. Our dreams are coming true," New Kids' Donnie Wahlberg said. "And one of the best parts is that we get to share this moment with our friends the Backstreet Boys."
The Fenway tour date is the second Boston show for the boy bands, as they are also playing TD Garden on June 5.
Tickets for the Fenway Park tour date go on sale on Feb. 5, with fan club presale starting on Jan. 27.
