Report: Michael Vick, Eagles Agree to New Six-Year, $100 Million Contract

Report: Michael Vick, Eagles Agree to New Six-Year, $100 Million Contract Michael Vick proved last season that he can still be a game-changing quarterback. On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles rewarded Vick for that and ensured that he's not going anywhere for some time.

According to Andrew Brandt of ESPN and NationalFootballPost.com, the Eagles and Vick have come to terms on a six-year, $100 million contract. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the new deal will give Vick a guaranteed $40 million.

Vick signed a franchise tender with Philadelphia in March. That deal ensured that the quarterback would make $16 million this season. By signing a new contract now, though, Vick likely allows the Eagles to restructure some of their money to help ensure they are under the salary cap.
